¡El Futuro is Here! Conference

July 29-31, 2025

In July 2025 Dominican University will host the 4th ¡El Futuro is Here! Conference designed to create a space for rich theological conversation and reflection for campus ministers, theologians, student leaders, and other key collaborators. The El Futuro is Here Conference seeks to help colleges and universities celebrate the cultural practices of our Latinx students and see them as constitutive of a vibrant life en lo cotidiano (in the everyday).
 
We encourage colleges and universities to send teams of 3-5 undergraduate students and those who serve them as department leads, ministers, faculty, staff, and administrators to engage in a series of conversations and experiences that celebrate the social, cultural, and epistemological contributions of Latinx communities, learn from nationally renowned experts in Latinx theology and ministry, and pursue more culturally sustaining strategies for theological education and pastoral praxis.
