Important Decision Dates for Study Abroad Programs during Covid-19

Students can apply to semester study abroad programs for Spring 2023 and Fall 2023, as well as any short-term study abroad programs that may be approved by the Planning Approval Dates below. Students may be accepted into programs, however, we will make decisions on whether travel will be allowed by the Travel Decision Dates below. Travel decisions will be made based on U.S. Department of State and CDC guidelines, as well as covid-19 data and projections for each specific location.

Travel restrictions and advisories may change frequently. Please be aware of travel restrictions issued by the U.S. government, as well as policies and guidelines affecting Dominican University students, faculty and staff.

Blackfriars Hall Oxford 

Students interested in learning about the opportunity to study abroad for a year or spring semester in Oxford, UK, should attend this information session.

Fund for Education Abroad Scholarship 

Any student planning to study abroad for four weeks or longer during their time at Dominican, should attend this information session to learn about the Fund for Education Abroad scholarship opportunity.

Gilman Study Abroad Scholarship 

Pell eligible students hoping to study abroad next few years should attend this information session to learn about the federally funded Gilman Scholarship for Pell Grant recipients to study abroad.

Gilman-McCain Scholarship 

Any student who hopes to study abroad next few years and is also a child of an active duty military member and a recipient of Title IV federal financial aid should attend this information session to learn about the federally funded Gilman-McCain study abroad scholarship.

Stellenbosch, South Africa Study Abroad 

Students interested in learning about an opportunity to study abroad in South Africa for a semester should attend this information session. 

AIFS Study Abroad Scholarship 

Any student who hopes to study abroad for a semester during their time at Dominican should attend this information session to learn about study abroad scholarships available to students who travel on one of our affiliated semester programs with AIFS. These programs include semesters abroad in Florence, Italy, Limerick, Ireland, Salamanca, Spain, and Stellenbosch, South Africa.
