Dr. Todd D. As a member of the President's Cabinet, he partners with campus leaders to align technology investments with the university's mission and long-term strategic priorities.
Since 2021, Todd has led transformative initiatives that have modernized Dominican's technology environment, including a comprehensive redesign of the university's wired and wireless network infrastructure, implementation of a campus-wide VoIP communications system, deployment of advanced instructional and collaboration technologies at the Chicago campus, and migration of enterprise services to secure cloud platforms. His leadership emphasizes thoughtful innovation, operational excellence, and exceptional customer service.
Todd also directed Dominican's $2.5 million Connecting Minority Communities Pilot Program grant, one of only three awarded in Illinois. The initiative strengthened campus technology infrastructure, enhanced teaching and learning environments, expanded access to modern devices, increased institutional IT capacity, and delivered digital literacy programming that extended beyond the university into the surrounding community.
Recognized for his collaborative leadership, Todd has guided several university-wide strategic initiatives beyond the traditional IT portfolio. As chair of the Institutional Governance Task Force, he led the redesign of Dominican's shared governance structure and development of the Institutional Decision Matrix. He also chairs the Data Management Committee, helping shape institutional practices for data governance, stewardship, and informed decision-making.
In addition to his administrative responsibilities, Todd serves as an adjunct instructor in the College of Business, Information Studies, and Technology, teaching Records Management and Information Governance. Working with faculty leadership and the Institute of Certified Records Managers (ICRM), he helped establish graduate pathways that prepare students to earn the Certified Records Analyst (CRA) and Certified Records Manager (CRM) professional designations.
Todd's career at Dominican spans multiple leadership roles, including Executive Director of Systems and Operations in Enrollment Management and Marketing, Business Analyst within DU-IT, and Residence Hall Director. Prior to joining Dominican, he served as Director of Records and Policies Management at DePaul University and taught undergraduate and graduate courses in business, technology, and organizational leadership.
An active contributor to the information governance profession, Todd is a past President and Board Chair of the ARMA Chicago Chapter and currently serves as President-Elect and Treasurer of the Institute of Certified Records Managers.
Todd holds a Doctor of Education from DePaul University and maintains Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Records Manager (CRM) credentials. He believes the most successful technology organizations combine innovation with empathy, aligning people, processes, and technology to advance institutional mission and create meaningful experiences for those they serve.
Outside of work, Todd enjoys cooking for family and friends, exploring new destinations through travel, and restoring the character of his midcentury modern home. He lives in Chicago with his rescue pit bull, Petunia, who enthusiastically supervises many of his work-from-home days.
