Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter Recognized with ‘Highest Honors’

The International Honor Society of Beta Gamma Sigma has recognized the Brennan School of Business chapter with Highest Honors designation this year.
This is the society's top recognition for excellence and reflects the chapter’s success in advancing the mission of Beta Gamma Sigma on Dominican University's campus and beyond, according to the Brennan School of Business.
Beta Gamma Sigma's mission encourages academic achievement in business, building of professional skills, and fostering a commitment to honor and integrity and the pursuit of wisdom, earnestness and service. The Dominican chapter is overseen by Andrea Leinweber, director of undergraduate programs and budgets, and Dr. Molly Burke, professor of management.
With this Highest Honors designation, the Dominican’s chapter is eligible to award a $1,000 scholarship to a selected student.
Membership to Beta Gamma Sigma is limited to schools accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The Brennan School of Business is among the 6% of business schools internationally that have achieved AACSB accreditation.
Dominican’s Beta Gamma Sigma chapter has demonstrated how students live out the university’s mission of Caritas and Veritas through activities the chapter sponsors. Officers host a Meet and Greet with Santa holiday food drive each year supporting Dominican’s food pantry, DU Feeds, and, this past spring, they held a Krispy Kreme fundraiser to help defray the cost of Beta Gamma Sigma induction fees and graduation regalia for students with financial needs. Student members have also helped sponsor and support Brennan activities such as the Business Ethics and Leadership Lecture and international business programs.
“Truly, these fun events would not be possible without our commUNITY!” Leinweber and Burke said in a joint statement. “We all are able to come together for a greater purpose: living out the university mission.”
