Dominican University models for the Spring 2025 Fashion Show

Two Dominican University fashion alumnae will present their latest designs at the Driehaus Design Initiative's very first Alumni Fashion Show on Thursday, Oct. 1 at the Chicago History Museum.

Albina Ikizli ’25 and Emma Mendell ’26 are among eight Chicago-based designers who will participate in the inaugural event. Each previously took part in the Driehaus Fashion Awards, a program that has supported local fashion design talent since 2002.

Dominican students have participated in Driehaus events over the last several years.

Earlier this year, Emma took home Top Designer and Best Construction honors during the Driehaus Fashion Awards. Albina was the recipient of the inaugural Fashion Innovator Award in 2025 for her Spanish Dance collection.

Albina is the founder of Arzi Inc., and Emma is the founder of Emma Mendell Designs.

Designs by Emma Mendell, second from right, are featured during the 2026 Spring Fashion Show at Dominican University.
