DU Receives Grant for Academic Coaching
Dominican University is the recipient of $50,000 in grant funding from the College Compact Promising Practice Implementation Fund.
With a goal of reducing gaps in credit completion and advancing more students toward graduation, the grant will be used for academic coaching and support for DU students who are alumnae/i of Chicago Public Schools.
The funding was secured by Dr. Samina Hadi-Tabassum, senior director of student academic support, and Anne Deeter, assistant vice president of planning and government relations.
The mission of the College Compact Promising Practice Implementation Fund is to increase CPS student retention rates within higher education.
