DU's Mark Titzer a Finalist for Chicago Area CFO of the Year Award
Mark Titzer, chief financial officer and senior vice president of finance and administration, was a finalist for a 2024 Chicago CFO of the Year award, presented by Financial Executives International (FEI) of Chicago.
Titzer, who joined DU in 2017, was a finalist in the “large not-for-profit” category.
In a letter of support to the FEI selection committee, Dominican University President Dr. Glena Temple credited Titzer with leading efforts to stabilize and pay down the university’s debt, leading the creation of a multi-year plan addressing deferred maintenance and infrastructure, and being a key part of the Chicago Campus launch, among other important work.
“He cares deeply about the students we serve and all of the employees at Dominican,” Temple wrote. “He has a positive spirit that helps others believe that we can overcome the challenges in front of us. He is creative and he helps build an entrepreneurial approach to our work as higher education leaders.”
FEI Chicago is a professional association connecting finance executives. Established in 1933, the chapter has 300 members representing a wide range of industries.
