Junior Jorge Zarco has been selected for the Public Policy and International Affairs (PPIA) Junior Summer Institute (JSI), a highly-competitive summer program offered by the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Zarco is majoring in International Affairs and Diplomacy and Italian. As a recipient of the PPIA fellowship, he will take part in a seven-week, fully-funded JSI program that will include coursework, career guidance and GRE preparation.

According to PPIA, “The JSI experience builds knowledge in economics, statistics, domestic and international policy studies, and leadership topics.”

Zarco also qualifies for lifetime participation in the annual Public Service Expo, a conference that gathers employers and graduate schools to interface with PPIA program participants.
