PhD Student Named to Leadership Role at Holyoke Community College

Angela Cardenas, who is pursuing a PhD in Dominican University’s Applied Social Justice program, was recently named the new chief of operations at Holyoke Community College in Holyoke, Massachusetts.
Cardenas previously served as a senior policy advisor and U.S diplomat for USAID. In her new role, she will serve in the president’s office of Holyoke Community College, working with senior leadership and acting as a primary liaison between the president’s office and the board of trustees.

“I was looking for a place where I could be part of a great leadership team and work for a transformational leader,” Cardenas said in a news release. “I’ve been fortunate to work for exceptional people who make positive change in the communities they serve and been lucky to work with people who want to see you succeed.”
