    • Required recommendation letter from an employer or healthcare provider
    • Optional recommendation letter from an undergraduate and/or graduate faculty member
  • One year of clinical nursing practice prior to entering the third semester of the program.
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) for college coursework. 
  • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the United States.
  • Essay. Submit an essay describing how your role as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner DNP will guide your ability to impact nursing and the future of healthcare.


Application Dates and Deadline

The DNP program accepts new cohorts to begin the program in fall semester. The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner DNP cohort will begin in Fall 2026.
