Advising for CAS Majors and Minors

All full-time communication arts and sciences professors serve as advisors for the department's majors and minors. Students meet regularly with their advisor to discuss course plans and make certain the students are progressing towards graduation.

To help students prepare for their meetings with their advisors, the department supplies suggested timelines with courses to take for each major and minor. These timelines contain suggestions for what course to take and during which semester in order to meet the degree's requirements in a timely manner. These flowcharts should only be taken as suggestions and used to generate discussion with an advisor.
