China: Modernization and Tradition
For more information, contact Professor Patrick Homan
In the 21st century, China is emerging as a world political, economic, and military power. What does China look like, what influences have shaped it, and where is it going? These are vitally important questions and the best way to answer them is to study China's politics and policies, economics, society and culture—and even better, to study them in China. You will attain a deeper knowledge of and association with China’s people through this course and travel.
Academic Program
STA 403 is a faculty-led study abroad program designed to explore modern day China through a social, business and political lens. During the study abroad experience, we will visit some of the most important sites for China's history, politics, economics and culture. This course will provide students with a wide range of multicultural experiences while exploring one of the most important countries in today's global politics and economics.
