Vice President of Student Success and Engagement Barrington Price wrote an op-ed in the Daily Herald Business Ledger discussing why Dominican is ranked #3 in the Midwest in US News & World Report's social mobility category. 

Dominican has a long history of educating first generation to college, low income and immigrant students. The university is committed to interrupting the cycle of generational poverty by by providing marginalized students with access to college and giving them the tools to succeed once they enroll. Price discussed Dominican's partnerships with organizations dedicated to closing the postsecondary access gap as well as the use of tools such as Star Tracker, a coordinated alert system used during students' pivotal first semester to make sure they stay on track.
